The southern route from Tetebatu provides a more natural and less crowded trekking experience compared to the popular routes from Sembalun Village, Senaru Village, and Torean Village.
The Dutch established Tetebatu as one of their early settlements in Indonesia, and Gunung Rinjani National Park still preserves one of their historic buildings, known as “Pondok Belanda.” In Tetebatu Village, you’ll encounter one of the friendliest communities in Lombok.
